It's easy to want to complain at the weather. The trouble is, it doesn't have any effect on it.

It's not only a question of maturity, of course. Farmers may love the rain that a couple on their wedding day despairs of. Windsurfers love a windy day that others don't.

As Norwegians say: Det finnes ikke dårlig vær, bare dårlig klær, which loosely translates as, “There’s no such thing as bad weather, only bad clothes.”

Quotes Related to Complaining at the Weather

“Some people feel the rain. Others just get wet.”

— Bob Dylan

"Do not be angry with the rain; it simply does not know how to fall upwards."

— Vladimir Nabokov
